Movie ReviewsAlmost with you Scott Promish | 09/06/2008 (4 out of 5 stars) "Accompanied by only his 12-string guitar, Church frontman and primary songwriter Steve Kilbey gives a solid performance at an intimate New Zealand venue in this show recorded in 2007. I won't spoil the set list but you'll hear several Church songs, some songs from his Jack Frost side project, a few covers and some new solo material. Very funny stage banter sprinkled throughout. The show runs a little over an hour. My only complaint is that the video quality is just fair, and the direction a bit static. I suppose it's the music that's important, but it does seem kind of low budget. The DVD contains the following extra features: - a brief radio session (a little talk and two songs performed) - an excerpt from a radio interview (audio only) - backstage footage - a reading from The Fruit Machine, a collection of Steve's musical musings, excised for some reason from the feature performance. This release should satisfy any fan of Kilbey's work (in whichever configuration), as long as they don't expect a slick MTV-style production."
