Movie Reviews

Stuck between a 2 and a 3 but the fights I thought were real

(3 out of 5 stars)

"Now kung fu movies do not get any more average than this. It starts off with this dude being told by his master that he has to become the best fighter. Alright, I guess he does. So him and his gang start taking out all of the top fighters. They set up a meeting first for all the kung fu masters and of course 2 of them start arguiig and set up a duel. Well at this meeting the nature fist stylist and his son(billy chong) are there.

So the masters have their duel. The main guys henchman(one of which is Kong Do) take out some of the other fighters. Finally at the end we get to see Billy Chong take on the 2 henchman and then the main baddie.

My favorite fight of the movie was the pre final fight with Kong Do. The finale was VERY unspectacular, but with good fights all the way through, no way I could give this less than 3 stars. Except for the picture quality, that was just awful. Not fully full screened, so that ain't so bad, but the picture is dirty as hell. The night scenes are very hard to watch. But it is from Video Asia, so I guess it was a tad better than I expected.

So if you are a kung fu extremist like me, then this may be worth 1 or 2 viewings from you. Billy Chong NEVER dissapoints, but the final fight in this movie does, you have been warned."
