Member Movie ReviewsSharon C. (Sierrastar) from BLYTHEWOOD, SC Reviewed on 3/28/2014... This is not just a love story but much more than that. Sandra Bullock, River Phoenix and Dermot Mulroney the main actors in this movie all begin a rocky ride down Music City's well worn highway finding hope, heartbreak and happiness along the way. It was a much better movie then I had expected and it is worth the watch. David F. from GAITHERSBURG, MD Reviewed on 11/22/2008... I forgot how great this movie really is. The title makes it sound like some sweet little movie, but it truly is something much more complicated and dark at times. Great music and excelent performances from some young actors at the time. River Phoenix really delivers and leaves you wondering how good he could have been had his life not ended so abruptly. I absolutly was rivited to the screen. 0 of 1 member(s) found this review helpful.
Movie ReviewsTHANK YOU!!! 80's Girl | Cali | 11/24/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "Finally The Thing Called Love is getting the DVD treatment. It's the directors cut as well, isn't that amazing!!! I hope they re-release the soundtrack too. I like the way the actors sing the songs better than the singers on the original soundtrack. Anyway if you never seen this movie here's the scoop from imdb:
Young Miranda Presley, an aspiring Country-singer/writer, comes to Nashville, Tennessee, to enter the weekly singer contest held at "The Bluebird Cafe". There she meets James Wright, an energetic, but somewhat chaotic young man, Kyle Davidson, a more laid-back kind of guy and Linda Lue Linden, who's career may not necessarily be in Country... When both James and Kyle get attracted to Miranda, she makes a decision." |
