Movie Reviews

Midget cannibals. `Nuff said

(5 out of 5 stars)

"The review copy I have does not include Violent Sorcerer so ther emust have been a change at the last minute.

The films in Vol.4 are Temple of Hell:Ark of the Sun God with Anthony Dawson.
Pretty standard Indy Jones knock off with the usual trimmings.
Not a bad film but not a good one either.
It stands just where mediocrity thrives.
Fullscreen version.

The real gem,the creme de la creme is Cannibal Curse.
I've seen all the Italian cannibal films but I've never heard of a Hong Kong cannibal movie before.
The opening has a father in law beating his daughter in law which is priceless.
Jump to the good stuff.
Chinese dwarf cannibals.
I'll write it again-Chinese dwarf cannibals.
Forget Oompa Loomfs from Tim Burton and other nonsense.
What we have here is Bava meets Fellini via Lenzi by way of Tsui Hark.
This is one of the most original, bizarre films I've seen in ages.
In original language with subtitles.
Great cover art in tribute to the old comics of the 1960's and 70's.
See my other reviews for the whole series.
The price makes it worth adding to the collection.
