The Tea Party - Brilliance, total and utter brilliance

"What can I say? I've been a big fan of The Tea Party for a couple years now, saw them live and was blown away!Their music is truly epic and personal at the same time. Dark and almost gothic in tone but shining with insightful lyrics which if read are as poetic and meaningful as any other. An array of eastern, middle eastern and other unique sounding instruments mean this music is haunting, uplifting and different to anything you've ever heard. The DVD as mentioned above is also magnificent in its own right, with brilliant video clips especially the classic 'Heaven Coming Down'. Not only a must for fans but a great example of how a music based DVD should operate, with many options incl band biography, discography, sound options (2.0, 5.1, dolby etc), kareoke style lyrics, the making of 'walking wounded' and even the bands own commentary on the individual songs and how the videos were made.A great band and a suitably great DVD.Buy it, rent it, steal it - just get it!"

"Released in conjunction with their "Tangents " cd, "Illuminations" is the very first DVD compilation from Tea Party. The fourteen tracks on this disc comprise the major label video history of the trio, including the Australian-only vid for "Shadows On The Mountainside", which was previously available as part of the computer portion of "Alhambra".
This is truly a fan's treat as the extras on the dvd include band commentaries, a discography, lyrics & biographies, and an audio- only option. Options also include a choice of 2.0 stereo sound, DTS, or 5.1 Dolby surround sound to enhance listening enjoyment.
While long-time fans may be disappointed that the vid for the indie single, "Let Me Show You The Door" wasn't included, the disc more than makes up for it by adding behind the scenes coverage of the making of the video for "Walking Wounded". The video history of Tea Party is available now and is truly an illuminating experience. CHRIS"
A Must Have!

"Following the release of their greatest hits cd 'Tangents' The Tea Party come out with a collection of all their music videos. This DVD is a great example of how music can sound on DVD. Band leader Jeff Martin remastered all videos in 5.1 surround sound, allowing the viewer to get into his head. This dvd also features a behind the scenes feature on the video for 'walking wounded', commentary from the band on all videos, as well as easter eggs, band bios, even karaoke! Musical artists take note, this is how music video DVD's should be made. Fully immersive and perfect."
A MUST have for fans of The Tea Party -especially in the US

"As a US fan of The Tea Party (who has no access to Much Music via cable)I've enjoyed their cds but have never seen their videos. Well this DVD takes care of that. You get 14 videos chronicalling their career, and almost every video is great. The DVD has an excellant transfer, the sound is in awesome 5.1. And the disc's menus and layouts are very cool. Very well done too with special features like commentary from the band and lyric features! All in all you can't go wrong with this disc. If your a fan you must buy it, if your not a fan buy this or see them live and BECOME a fan!
