Terminus a Quo?--Time's Up for PTV???
St. Jerome | orange county, USA | 07/09/2003
(3 out of 5 stars)

"From the group that put out such amazingly mind-altering videotapes in the '80s and wrote reams on the subject of video magick (sic), and who were good friends with many acclaimed filmmakers, (most famously Derek Jarman) you'd expect more visual stimulae and less of a pure document of an evening. But then--TIME"S UP! Genesis will forever deserve our respect not only for all the adventures brilliantly told of in the TG book _Wreckers Ov Civilization_, but for FORCING THE HANDS OF CHANCE (1982), and for DREAMS LESS SWEET(1984), two of thee absolutely misunderstood genious classic of the underground world of audio-esoterica! What's more, Gen STILL commands our attention as quite an agile frontman and organizer of such a huge homecoming for his group and himself (for him to be allowed back in Britain in 1999 was huge), but well... this is the end of an era and P-TV, so Long Live Thee Majesty! If you were a devotee, check in on your old pals and give this a go. Just know in advance, that this is a record of a time/space event, and not THEE Psychic TV present in your house as you will be playing/using it, but thee Psychic TV ov Yore, as in TIME"S UP--time is that which ends for us all. so, adieu. --'eyescar'"
