FOUR YEAR OLD REVIEWS TOOTHBRUSH VIDEO

"by the very fact that she stays glued to this video, she plays it over & over again and has learned the charaters by heart. She loves it!"
It will decay your brain instead of your teeth.

"I had the "pleasure" of viewing this DVD featuring episodes of an Australian animated series. Sitting through 18 of their adventures was nothing short of mental torture. It features poor animation and some of the most insipid writing known to mankind. The main characters are a tube of toothpaste, a couple of toothbrushes and a sponge. The sponge is pink and is shaped exactly like a tongue. It's rather disconcerting. Anyway, there are also a few more minor charcters which pop up to annoy the viewer. One such character is a comb of some sort. In this one episode, she complains that everyone is making too much noise and they are interrupting her beauty sleep. A second episode has her complaining about her beauty sleep being interrupted. The funniest one, though, is a third episode where she whines about her friends being too noisy and keeping her from getting her beauty sleep. That one just cracks me up!All but one episode of the 18 on this DVD took place in their bathroom. They never do anything interesting and there are never any people around either. Only one episode even came close to promoting good dental hygiene, which seems like a waste. The sole entertaining moment was a rather macabre one. The child toothbrush befriends a bar of soap. The soap insists on playing in the water until he gets smaller and smaller (as soap tends to do). Finally, the soap wastes away until it is totally gone. The sad toothbrush is then shown a whole pile of soap and he cheers up. When one of his soapy friends "dies", he simply opens up another box of soap and he has a brand new friend. It doesn't exactly emphasize the importance of loyalty and bonding between friends but...oh well, it gave me a sick chuckle. All in all, this is one family you should just brush aside."
Tale of the Toothbrush is good clean fun!

""The Toothbrush Family" is a great video for kids and their parents! The animation is top rate and the characters are adorable. All of the action is confined to the bathroom, and the animators turn this ordinary dwelling into a whole world to explore. The two main characters, Molly and Max, are brother and sister toothbrushes who live in the toothbrush rack and have friends like Flash Fluoride, Susie Sponge, and Countess De Comb. A real treat for kids 3 and up!"
