Movie Reviews

GREATEST HITS...and alot less!
D. Leigh | Midway, Ky. | 11/17/2007
(3 out of 5 stars)

"Being the first to review this DVD should have aroused my suspicion. With that being said, It is my fault for purchasing an item that had little to no description of said item.I thought I could look up the CD of the same name and cover art to see the track list that I would be buying.I was pleasantly surprised to see all the great hits plus acoustic versions I would be getting.Nothing could be farther from the truth! The video quality of this concert looks pirated(TERRIBLE),only 12 songs from a concert in Paris,a "Behind the Scenes"that is patched together and finally a Toto interview that looks like it was done with a defective camcorder.Don't get me wrong,I am a HUGE Toto fan and even a deceptive DVD seller can't make them sound bad.Word to the Wise;don't buy undescriptive items and most important, save your $26.oo & change and don't buy this DVD."
Rare footage of perhaps the best Toto concert ever
James D. Tancredi | Middletown, DE United States | 03/23/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"It would be easy to see why some people would be disappointed with the quality of the video and sound of this DVD. It may very well have been shot with a camcorder, and in 1990, the quality of footage from a camcorder certainly wasn't what you would get today from the cheapest of cameras. But, there are some incredible gems from this Paris concert including David's keyboard solo which was a prelude to "I Won't Hold You Back". David noted on the Toto website that his solo was as much ad-lib as it was scripted, and that fact alone, reveals the true talent of this pianist. Luke was in top form, as was Jeff. Even the background vocalist bring color to a live performance, that in my opinion, may rank as Toto's best ever. And, that may explain why this DVD is even available regardless of the quality. My guess is that there was a very large request for footage of this concert, and the band decided to share it. If you'd like to view pieces of this footage, you can catch it on Youtube. Enjoy!"
This DVD is NOT NTSC format!
Yoshikazu Hirate | Seattle, WA USA | 03/04/2009

"In product detail, the format of this DVD is shown as NTSC, which is compatible with TV sold in the US. However, the DVD I received was "PAL" format, which is standard in Europe but NOT compatible with TV sold in the US. Please be careful!"
