The Escape from Sobibor is a very interesting story. Its based on the only occurrence of when inmates of a concentration camp overran and escaped in masse. Yes some died, but far less than would have been gassed and incinerated. A few guards holding thousands of prisoners?!? These prisoners did the math and lived to tell the tale.

The Trial and Escape from Sobibor
Gayle R. Donham | 11/02/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The Trial was a novel that Orson Welles transformed into a movie that brought plenty of drama to the screen.
Escape from Sobibor was a documentary film a about one of the NAZI death camps in Poland where 600 hundred prisoners escaped. Only about 300 made it to freedom, half were killed as they fled for freedom. Those that did escape are living today in various parts of the world."
