I didn't like this as much as series 1 or the 10th anniversary specials (I haven't seen series 3 or the finale yet). It was still funny compared to lots of other shows, but most of the episodes just weren't up to Vicar standards, and I had to stop watching "Engagement" partway through as it made me cringe. That said, parts of the Easter special were quite moving, and "Love and Marriage" was an absolutely hilarious episode (perhaps the funniest one I've seen). So it's a no-brainer if you're already a Vicar fan, but it's not the show's best material, and probably not a good place for a newbie to start.

The DVD That Doesn't!

"The DVD of the Vicar of Dibley, the Complete Series 2, is defective and will not play. The DVD of the Complete Series 1 which I bought at the same time is just fine, as are the other two DVDs of the program which I also have. Apparently the BBC does not have very good quality control so one must be cautious in ordering their products, especially if you are not into returns."

"As always Dawn French is fantastic, wish we had the talent like this in the U.S.A. The whole cast is just too funny and it is a fun show to watch."
