This series is far more developed and disturbing than the original "Westworld" and "Futureworld" films on many levels. What started out as a fantasy amusement park for wealthy bored vistors to indulge their worst impulses in a 19th century realistic but controlled milieu has turned into a nightmare about to happen as the lines become blurred when a few of the older upgraded "host" personnel gain some small degree of desision capability outside of their programmed cyclic behavior and constant repairs. Anthony Hopkins is appropriately creepy in his role as Dr. Ford, who controls the enterprise, indulging his entrenched god-complex by playing with risks in his favorite models. Much of the details are brilliant and wholly believable. The tension keeps building as the sinister and often violent events transpire. You will want to see what results.
