The Wiggles-Wiggly Playtime
GL | Seattle, WA. | 10/02/2001
(4 out of 5 stars)

"My son started watching The Wiggles when he received Wiggle Time for his first birthday. He absolutly loved it. He had never been enthralled with anything on TV but The Wiggles hit the spot.
Subsequently, we bought him Yummy Yummy which was also a hit. He is now 18 months and last week we bought Wiggly Playtime for something new to watch. He is more rapt in this video than the other two. Where as he may have watched his other tapes for 10 to 15 minutes, this one he watches (if we let him) to the end. We believe it's because there are stories combined with the good old favorite songs he knows (plus a couple of new ones). In short, it seems to appeal to his current age, more so than his first tapes. If your child is already a Wiggles fan but needs more than just the songs as they get older, we highly recommend this video. We are Australian and therefore proud of what these guys are doing. Their formal education in childrens development is evident. This video is another quality effort from these blokes. And best of all, our son loves it."

"We have quite a few of The Wiggles videos and this one is by far the best! My son just loves The Wiggles and he particularly likes the little skits on this video. The other Wiggles videos are very cute as well but, they are mostly made up of little music videos. However, Wiggly Play Time offers a little more!! If you were only going to purchase one Wiggles video, this would be the one to buy!"
Boring to watch!

"My baby, my husband, and I all love The Wiggles! We have all their videos including Dance Party and love them all. I bought this one knowing it contained all the same songs, but thinking it would have fun material to watch. It does not! Through half the tape Murray and Jeff are laying down on fake grass looking up at fake clouds making comments about what they see. Boring! The other skits are equally boring: Anthony- with a horrible orange tan- eating banannas, all of The Wiggles looking for the bunny in the hat, and The Wiggles dressed as cavemen entering a door. That's it, with 13 of the same songs on Toot Toot! and Wiggle Time spliced into the film at very odd intervals. The songs do not coincide with the skits whatsoever, just all of a sudden they show a song out of the blue! Most are right off of the other tapes, but a few are from a Live Wiggles Show. The new songs are worse since no children are present in the live show at all! My baby loves to see the Wiggles dance and move around, not just lay on the grass or stand around! Even the wonderful dancer Dorothy the Dinosaur just stands around in her garden. A few pirates do back flips is all, but no dancing! This tape is a major disapointment! Go buy Dance Party instead! I gave that one 4 much deserves stars. This one can not get more then a 1 star vote from me or my baby!"
Daughter loves it!

"At first I was disappointed with the fact that this video has no new songs on it, but after watching it with my 2 1/2 year old daughter over and over and over yesterday I have come to enjoy the tape. The video shows excerpts from the Wiggles TV show and places them in between the familiar song clips. My daughter laughed out loud at the TV show clips. She enjoys being able to sing along with the songs and dance with the dancers. If you are looking for just new songs, this is probably not the tape for you, but if you are looking for a good mix of laughs and songs, this tape is great."
