Movie Reviews

A MUST HAVE FOR ZOMBIE FANS
Tom Goryssimo | Skies above, Heaven FR | 09/03/2004
(4 out of 5 stars)

"ZOMBIES CHRONICLES is a low budget flick from Brad Sykes ( CAMP BLOOD 1 and 2, DEATH FACTORY... )and the crew from STERLING ENTERTAINMENT. And yeah..., you also got the legendary GORE FX from JOE CASTRO involved.

Now,if you know a litle bit about the B.Movies world, You know what to expect : gore, nudity and a really cool campy movie. Yeah... it's shot on video and maybe all the actors are not that good. But who cares ? If you do, stay away from anything that looks like a B.Movie.

I mean, sure that's nothing like ROMERO's holy dead trilogy or even the RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD's. Hell, I even agree with the other rewiewer who says that REDNECK ZOMBIES is better than that flick. Still ZOMBIE CHRONICLES delivers the goodies.
You got great looking FLESH EATING ROTTEN ZOMBIES, NUDITY, BLOOD and GUTS. So if you're an GOREHOUND and a ZOMBIE fan like I am and don't mind the film being cheap, just spend a few bucks. Then, you'll say thanks to BRAD SYKES and JOE CASTRO for representing like that."
The best worse zombie movie of recent memory..
B. M. Dorton | Lex, KY | 02/05/2005
(1 out of 5 stars)

"Even the most desperate of zombie fans will find this absurd. I mean jeez, a young girl living in the woods with her zombie parents? No, this isn't a comedy. A journalist runs into a local man in a town that she seeks a story. He tells two bogus tales of terror. A man does exercise for 15 minutes in the first story. BORING. The sound, editing, acting, and over all product is BAD. I am a big fan of gore and bloody zombie effects. This had nothing to offer me. I doubt you'll find anyhing for yourself either."
Not even 3D can save this movie
ribcage | Lantana, Florida United States | 11/05/2005

"Meh. It's boring. The gore is weak, the zombies aren't impressive in the least, the acting is abominable even for B-movie fare, the stories aren't interesting at all. There's just nothing here. I saw the 3D version, and some of the interesting little 3D bits were the only good thing at all. But a few cool 3D shots are not near enough to save a movie. Not at all. Just avoid this one. The only reason my friend picked it up is because we're major zombie fans. And we were sorely disappointed. Sigh."
FYI... I'm a Zombie fan!
Marc Gregoire | Zombie Country, USA | 03/28/2010
(2 out of 5 stars)

"Ok, Where to begin... There are low budget movies and No budget movies. This is a NO budget movie. If you are not a true zombie movie fan, this is as far as you need to read. Get out now! Zombie fans, I'm going to sum it up quick. I'm rating this a 2, mostly for the effort.

The Zombies: Giving them a Rating of 1.5. Its there are only 2 zombies(At the very end there may be up to 5). These zombies arise from a curse...Nothing impressive.

The S.F.X: There are none. The gore is low. Gore rating 1.5. There is one or two decent effects... Nothing impressive.

The Story: A news reporter goes for a story. Finds and old drunk, who recalls a couple tales of various zombie hi-jinks. Rating of 1.5.

The Acting: The story teller is terrible!!! Everyone else does a decent enough job. Rating of 2.5.(If you don't hold the story teller against the rest of the cast.)

Nudity: None!!

VERDICT: This is nothing that you should go out of your way to get. If you are a zombie fan then you should at least consider this if you can get this cheap... Think I paid 2 dollars plus shipping. At that price this is an OK buy. I certainly wouldn't recommend this if its going to cost you 10 bucks. I have watched far worse movies. (Zombie Bloodbath comes to mind.)"
