Biography: American lyricist Leo Robin traversed the country as an actor, journalist and song plugger before settling in Hollywood. Signed by Paramount, Robin was most often teamed with composer Ralph Rainger; a extroverted pair, Robin and Rainger were "fictionalized" in many a comedy film featuring carefree songsmiths as the leading characters. Leo and Ralph themselves appeared onscreen performing their own numbers in the Paramount Pictorial short subject series. |
