Biography: Silent film leading man Harrison Ford began appearing onscreen in 1915 with nominal stardom arriving within a few years. Lanky and likable, Ford soon became a favorite leading man of such female stars as Marguerite Clark, Gloria Swanson, Marion Davies, Clara Bow, Louise Brooks, and the Talmadge sisters. Just why he was a favorite is something of a mystery, since physical strength and virility were not among Ford's strong suits. |
