Biography: Canadian actress Susan Clark was trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She made her TV debut in an episode of the Toronto-filmed adventure series Seaway, then launched her Hollywood career in Banning (1967). Resisting attempts by the studio to turn her into a traditional leading lady, Clark has actively sought out roles requiring heavy dramatics and extreme physical exertion: she won an Emmy award for the 1975 TV movie Babe, in which she played Olympic athlete Babe Didrickson Zaharias. |
