Biography: British writer Jack Marks was active in films from 1937 to 1951. Most of Marks' films were regional comedies, made on a shoestring for provincial audiences. He was a principal writer of the "Old Mother Riley" films, which starred Arthur Lucan, a music-hall funster who appeared in drag as an elderly washerwoman. |
