Biography: While appearing on Broadway in such 1930s productions as Life with Father, James Dobson launched a lengthy career in radio. He was one of several adolescent-sounding performers to essay the role of comic-book favorite Archie Andrews. Dobson's first film, lensed in New England, was Boomerang (1947); his last efforts included The Undefeated (1969) and What's the Matter With Helen? (1970). |
