Biography: On the standup comedy circuit, Corwin Hawkins was known for his outrageous character Amazing Grace, a drag queen who gave audiences "a woman's perspective from a man's point of view." He appeared once on HBO's Def Comedy Jam. He played a supporting role opposite Keenan Ivory Wayans in the detective spoof A Low Down Dirty Shame (1994). Hawkins was only 29 when he passed away from pneumonia. |
