Biography: An established stage actress, Margaret Seddon made the transition to films in 1915. During the silent era, Seddon alternated between motherly roles and haughty matronly types; one of her best parts of the 1920s was Miss Trafalgar Gowes in The Actress, a 1927 adaptation of Arthur Wing Pinero's Trelawny of the Wells.
