Andy Albin

Before coming to Hollywood, the Russia-born Albin was a vaudeville performer. He broke into that by winning a Charleston contest in Philadelphia and spent most of his stage career performing in music halls throughout Europe during the 1930s. Albin passed away at the Motion Picture & Television Fund Hospital in Woodland Hills, California following a long, undisclosed illness on December 27, 1994. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
