Jeanette Lin Tsui

Following WW II, she moved to Hong Kong to pursue her career, but did not make her film debut until 1954 after signing a contract with Liberty Studio. That first effort, A Daughter's Heart, made Lin an instant star. Five years later, she would marry the film's director, Chun Kim. Lin's career continued going strong through the late '60s. She divorced Chun in 1967 (he committed suicide afterward), and married Taiwanese action star Jimmy Wang Yu. Their marriage lasted until 1975. Lin died in early 1995 after suffering an asthma attack followed by heart failure. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
