Biography: Actress/screenwriter Valerie Curtin began her acting career on the New York stage, making her film bow as Vera in 1975's Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore. Seldom rising above the supporting-player ranks, Curtin has been more artistically satisfied by her scriptwriting work, winning an Oscar nomination for 1979's ...And Justice for All. This project, like many others, was a collaborative effort between Curtin and her director/writer husband Barry Levinson. |
