Biography: Cinematographer Stuart Dryburgh was born in London, but has spent most of his life in New Zealand, where he received a bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Auckland in 1977. He began his career as a gaffer and worked his way up to becoming a director of photography in 1985. Since then, he has worked closely with director Jane Campion on three films, notably The Piano (1993). |
