Personally one of my favorite movies of all time. This movie combines great music with new and upcoming actors who have real talent, and that makes this movie stand out. Bono from U2 makes an appearance, as does Eddie Izzard. The singing is fantastic, the story plays out in a way that no other movie could even hope to, and the visual effects are phenomenal. Can't go wrong with this one.

All About Steve is just one of those cutesy, fluffy chick flicks that you can't help but like, even if it isn't very good. I mainly wanted to see this because I'm a fan of Bradley Cooper's, but I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. Sandra Bullock is so frustratingly annoying that you just want to smack her, but at the same time, you want her character to just find someone and be happy. lol. If you're looking for some silly fluff, this movie is for you.

This was probably one of the most intense psychological thrillers I've seen in a long time. It claims to be based on a true story and I don't doubt that something like what is shown in this film has actually happened somewhere. Boot Camp is about 'troubled' teens whose parents send them to Camp Serenity in Fiji. There the teens are supposedly trained to become better human beings through hard work, teamwork, and dedication. Instead, they are subjected to something a lot worse. This movie will make you stop and think and that's why I liked it so much. If you're a fan of movies that mess with your head, give this one a go.

So I had high hopes for this, even though Eli Roth wasn't involved. I was hoping it would pick up where the first one left off and it does. However, the only other thing from Cabin Fever that stays the same is the goofy cop, Winston. He was probably the best part of Cabin Fever 2, besides Noah Segan. They both gave it their all, but sadly, this movie fails. I was very disappointed. Not even the awesome amounts of blood could make this movie decent. *sigh* Rent it or watch it online.

All I can say about this movie is that it is AWFUL. I could barely finish it and it didn't even make much sense to me. There were only a couple of cool deaths, but the special effects looked fake and cheesy. Clearly they didn't have much of a budget or wasted it on other things. The actors did the best with what they had, but overall, this movie was a terrible waste of time.

Even though this film is in Norwegian, it's one of the better foreign horror films out there. It's got a creepy vibe and the ending has a nice twist. I enjoyed it quite a bit and would recommend it to any horror fan out there.

This movie is amazing! I won the Unrated Director's Cut in a contest and I absolutely love this film. Shiloh Fernandez is great as Rickie and Noah Segan is just plain creepy as JT. Rickie and JT are two high school pals who ditch school during a fire drill and go off to explore an abandoned mental hospital. What they find in the basement is the Deadgirl(Jenny Spain). Discovering that she's not quite dead and not quite alive, JT decides to use her for his own sick pleasure. Rickie freaks, but says nothing. I won't say anything more, so as not to spoil it, but all I can say is I love Deadgirl.

When I discovered that Fangoria was doing their own little fright film collection, I was beyond excited. I read that magazine on a monthly basis and I love film fests that focus on horror. Road Kill was the first one I got my hands on and I was definitely looking forward to it. It sounded like an Australian Joy Ride, only different. Let me just say, this was not what I expected. Basically a bunch of kids are taking a road trip through Australia and they are crashed into by a road train(tractor trailer). Their car is totaled and one of the friends ends up with a broken arm. When they discover the road train parked down the road, two of them go to investigate. They find it empty and decide to take it, along with the other two who were left behind, so they can get help. As they're stealing the truck, the driver starts shooting at them, but to no avail. The friends then discover the horros that await them in the road train.

It sounds like a really good film, but it didn't make much sense to me and I found it very lacking. I was highly disappointed with this one. Such a shame, too, considering it had potential.

From Within is one of the 8 Films to Die For/After Dark Horrorfest films. It's the fourth one I've seen, and in my opinion, one of the best. It's not scary or gory, but it has a psychological suspense to it, kinda like Penny Dreadful did in the first set of ADHF films. From Within is about a small town that's insanely religious. However, when people start dying by their own hand, the townsfolk start to get antsy. They blame Aidan, a local boy whose mother was killed by the town because they believed she was a witch. The pastor's son attacks Aidan, and when the son's girlfriend intervenes and begins helping Aidan, everyone claims she's been taken by the devil. The pastor and his son take her and try to expel the "demons" that have invaded her. Obviously it doesn't work because she's not possessed. The rest of the movie just builds up until the last 20 minutes or so when everything comes to a head. The climax is very rewarding and the ending is quite good. I was quite pleased with this movie and I'd recommend it to everyone. 5/5 stars.

Frozen is definitely a unique horror/thriller. The basic plot premise is this: 3 friends head to a ski resort for a Sunday of skiing and hanging out. They convince the attendant to give them one last ride on the ski lift before the place closes, but they end up getting stuck halfway up the mountain. The resort closes and they have to figure out how they're going to get down and get out of there. I can't say anything else, but this film will have you kept on the edge of your seat until the very end. It's intense and you find yourself rooting for the three friends to get out alive. Will they or won't they? You'll just have to watch and find out. I'd definitely recommend this one.

This movie is amazing! Not your typical thriller, which is why it's more enjoyable. Two polite young men terrorizing a family on vacation is one of the best plot ideas and this movie definitely delivers. Like the quote of the front of the DVD says, "This film does not play nice or fair." I loved every second of this and I could watch it over and over again. Plus, Brady Corbet is hot.

Not for the easily disturbed. So much like the book, which made it all the more enjoyable. It's very difficult to watch because it is based on fact. I was intrigued, horrified, disgusted, yet couldn't look away. Very heartbreaking and sad, but an amazingly well done movie.

All I have to say about this one is...Do you know what a Header is? Movie's low-budget, but was done pretty well for what it had. Acting isn't super, but the old man will make you laugh because he's insane. Crazy movie. Don't know if I'd watch it again, but I do like Edward Lee's novels.

So I finally got around to watching this movie and I have to say it was pretty decent. The ending was so-so and kind of leave things open for a sequel, but overall, it was a nice little horror film. Lots of blood and gore with some nudity and sex thrown in for good measure. If you have a queasy stomach/weak constitution, you may not be able to handle this. It does remind me a bit of Blair Witch, but with a lot more going on. Definitely give this one a chance.

I rented this movie on a whim, thinking it sounded like a fascinating film. Let me tell you, I was highly disappointed. If you're looking for something similar to Saw or Hostel, you won't find it here. There is really only one really sadistic scene and it barely lasts longer than a couple of minutes. The plot has so many holes and the acting is beyond terrible. I wouldn't suggest this film to my worst enemy.

May is quite a strange movie. It's independent, but it's actually a lot better than some mainstream Hollywood horror films(Prom Night anyone?). The movie is a bit slow in some spots, but the ending gives you a sense of satisfaction. Give this one a go if you enjoy horror.

So I first heard about this remake in Fangoria magazine and thought it sounded like good, campy fun. I'd never seen the original, but I figured I'd give this one a shot. I was pretty disappointed. The acting isn't all that great and the special effects are pretty cheesy. It's basically about this girl who throws a party in a house that is 'haunted' by demons. After the party is shut down, the remaining group of people become possessed by the demons and start taking each other out, one by one. It wasn't a very good film, although I did enjoy seeing Edward Furlong in a movie, even though he let himself go. *shakes head* If you're looking for cheesy camp that isn't meant to be taken seriously, give this one a whirl.

This movie terrified me as a kid. Why, I'm not sure. I guess maybe because bunnies are supposed to be cute and cuddly, not growling, flesh-eating monsters. I believe I was around 7 or 8 when I saw this and for the longest time, I was afraid of rabbits. Even now, as an adult, the cheesy looking effects terrify me. I guess the trauma of seeing this as a kid has stayed rooted in my psyche and I will never be able to watch this film again without covering my eyes.

I know a lot of people didn't like this film and thought only Robert Englund could pull it off, but I have to disagree. Freddy Krueger is supposed to be a sick and twisted man who preys on innocent children. Robert Englund's Freddy was too campy and humorous. Jackie Earle Haley's Freddy was way more terrifying and convincing as a creeper. I found this movie to be better than the original and I enjoyed the fact that Freddy was protrayed more realistically in the remake. Very good film, although some of the actors weren't the best. This is something I could definitely watch again and again.

I saw this when I was younger and it scared the crap out of me. Mainly the last film, Night of the Rat. I remember that one and Bishop of Battle the most, and they both terrified me as a kid. Couldn't sleep for days. If you enjoy being scared and like horror, this collection of short films is definitely for you. Good luck finding a copy, though.

I absolutely loved this movie. Suspense, thrills, empathy for the "killer," a bit of gore, and good looking actors to satisfy both the males and females. P2 is about a hardworking woman who stays late at her job on Christmas Eve, only to discover her car won't start when she tried to leave. The night watchman/security guard offers to help, but is unable to get her car started. He continues to offer assistance, but is turned down. That's when things start to go wrong. This movie will keep you rooting for Angela as well as feeling a bit sorry for Tom. A very likable move for fans of thrillers/horror films.

Very interesting movie. I enjoyed how it was filmed as an actual news broadcast and how everyone seemed like "real" people and not actors. I also read in Fangoria that the actors were not given the full script and only filmed the script scene by scene from beginning to end, so they didn't know what was going to happen to their characters either. The ending disappointed me a bit, but this was way better than Cloverfield. I couldn't even watch 5 minutes of Cloverfield.

Based on the novel by Scott Smith, who also penned the screenplay, The Ruins takes you on a disturbing ride as four American tourists and one German tourist find out just how scary the jungle can be. This movie is quite good, although the book is better. If you're squeamish, there may be a few scenes not for you. Not a lot of gore, but enough to satisfy fans that enjoy that sort of thing(myself included). If you're a fan of horror, then give this movie a shot. I found it very enjoyable.
