Gonzo filmmaker Michael Moore heads up the scathing comedy TV series in =Michael Moore: The Awful Truth - The Complete First Season, presented in a two-disc box set. Each of these 12 episodes is presented in 1.33:1 full-frame and look good for their original medium of videotape. The colors and black levels all appear natural and very warm with well-rendered fleshtones. The audio is presented in Dolby Digital Stereo and is also apt for the material. While the bulk of the soundtrack is filtered only through the front and center speakers, overall, it is a fine audio presentation with little-to-no distortion or hiss. No alternate soundtracks or subtitles are available on these discs. The extras on this two-disc set are rather thin -- the only supplements viewers get are some "Moore Awful Truths" outtakes and a rather extensive biography on Michael Moore. ~ Patrick Naugle, All Movie Guide
