DVD Synopsis

Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) returns to the screen for another round of supernatural adventures on the high seas in this spirited sequel to the 2003 Disney hit, which re-teams original director Gore Verbinski with original screenwriters Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio. As Will (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) prepare to exchange vows at the altar, their wedding plans hit rough waters with the arrival of sea-bound scallywag Jack Sparrow. Great follow-up to the first pirates movie, I liked the addition of Bill Nighy.

Jack made a deal and has to find his way out--in his usual con games, he gets both Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann to do much of his dirty work. If you liked the romp that was "Curse of the Black Pearl", you will enjoy this as well. Bill Nighy is brilliant as Davy Jones and nobody plays off-the-wall weird like Johnny Depp. Keira Knightley's Elizabeth shows that strong-willed women with brains can be sexy and beautiful. Orlando Bloom walks the fine line between "gentleman" and "pirate" just as he did in "Black Pearl" and does a lot of growing up in the process.

Great Pirate Movie.
Johnny Depp is great in this.
Funny as ever.
But the ending leaves you just hanging there.
So you then have to go see number 3.
