The sequel to Disney's 1955 classic comes to DVD, relating the story of Lady and Tramp's son, Scamp. Fans of the original canine cartoon are sure to enjoy "The Making of Lady and the Tramp II: From Tramp to Scamp," a featurette which illustrates how creators of the sequel referred to the original for inspiration and continuity. The behind-the-scenes look also includes rare footage of
Walt Disney himself and commentary by sequel cast members
Alyssa Milano,
Scott Wolf, and
Chazz Palminteri as well as animators. Another treat for adult audiences is the feature-length "Audio Commentary: Insights From the Filmmakers," with director
Darrell Rooney, co-director/producer
Jeannine Roussel, and director of animation Steve Trenbirth. As for kids, they're sure to love the interactive "Tramp's Hide & Seek Game" (playable on TV set or DVD-ROM), in which they can help Tramp find Scamp and the Junkyard Dogs. There's even a prize for winning -- players can choose to watch one of three classic Disney cartoons: Bone Trouble (1940), Pluto Junior (1942), or Pluto's Kid Brother (1946). Technical specifications include anamorphic widescreen (1.66:1), French- and Spanish-language tracks, DTS 5.1 Digital Surround Sound, and Dolby Digital 5.1. All in all, this is a family friendly DVD. ~ Terri Clark, All Movie Guide
