Horror hits a second time in director
John Ottman's sequel
Urban Legends: The Final Cut. Columbia has done a fine job on this 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. Sporting solid colors and well-saturated black levels, this transfer is near perfect save for a few moments of edge enhancement during a couple of scenes. The audio is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 in English as well as Dolby 2.0 Surround in French and English. The 5.1 soundtrack on this disc features tense sound and many moments of directional use in both the front and rear speakers. Overall the 5.1 and 2.0 mixes are free of any excessive hiss or distortion. Also included on this disc are English and French subtitles. Fans of this film will be thrilled to see a few extra features available on this release. Starting off the supplements is a commentary track by director/composer
John Ottman, which is informative and sometimes apologetic for some of the film's major flubs. Also included on this disc is a short, fluffy behind-the-scenes featurette, a gag reel of some mess-ups by the cast, seven deleted scenes with optional commentary by the director that are actually fairly interesting, a few small talent files on the cast and crew, DVD-ROM info, and theatrical trailers for the films
