I hadn't really wanted to see this one as I usually don't care for talking animals and animation. Glad I was talked into seeing this one!
It's rather a simple story of someone (baby penguin) trying to fit in. The background story is the environmental issues from the point of view of a penguin - sort of a Ranger Rick type. The movie shows a real flair for the visual. Loved the voices of Robin Williams, Nicole Kidman, Elijah Wood & others. Was impressed with the pathos throughout the entire movie - oh, yeah - it got a bit preachy at the end, but the upbeat tempo of the movie is terrific.

Ok, I must admit, I fell for the hype. I'm glad I didn't pay $8 bucks to see this movie, but then again I DID buy the DVD. It took me 3 attempts to watch this movie because the plot is so slow moving. Its one of those movies that you could put in just for background. I felt like I was given ONE hotdog at a hotdog eating contest. Where's the meat?! I wondered where the rest of the plot was. It is perfect for a babysitter who is wrapped up doing her homework that she didn't really pay attention to the movie.

Great animated film for kids and adults alike. Esp. love Robin Williams' performance. (Please remember to cut up those soda/beer can rings before throwing out!!!)

The first time I tried to watch this movie, I fell asleep.
The second time, I had to fight to stay awake.
The story line is weak and drags on forever. There are also far too many overtly sexual jokes to make me uncomfortable watching it with my kids.
I requested this movie and then immediately put it back out. Not my cup of tea.

This movie is one of my family's favorite's! Bumble the penguin a.k.a Happy Feet is the odd man out in this little black and white furry world. He ventures out to find his own happiness and to prove is worth. Along the way he makes some great friends voiced by the comedic genius Robin Williams, only to discover that his odd man out flapping feet are just what the Dr ordered. I love this movie's message and the dance and singing scenes were wonderful! I recommend this movie to all ages.

This show is not as cute at the cover.
I guess I was expecting more of a Disney/Pixar type film. It isn't.
It IS funny. It does have some great actors to do the voices. It has fairly decent animation. (Nothing extraordinary, though)
But the story isn't that cute, the ending is unbelievable, and now I can't even see a penguin at the zoo... all I can think of is a happy little penguin dancing. Sigh...
Kids like it, but I wasn't impressed.
