Hefty actor Victor Buono (Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte, Robin and the Seven Hoods) carves up a big plate of sleaze with this meaty disc from Something Weird Video. The film is presented in non-anamorphic widescreen with an aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The audio is in Dolby Digital 1.0 Mono. "Special Features" includes a three-minute slide show of producer Harry Novak's exploitation films set to a rare radio spot for Mondo Mod.
Two short films are included, one a four minute "mondo" style exposé called Cannibal Island, the other an odd, hour-long film with music and no dialogue entitled Cannibal Massage. Both films are in black-and-white and in poor condition, but are nonetheless worth watching. The final extra is a smorgasbord of theatrical trailers. The oddest is for another Victor Buono exploitation film entitled Mother, which co-stars Catwoman Julie Newmar and has a soundtrack by Quincy Jones. The other trailers are for Axe, The Beautiful, the Bloody and the Bare, Behind Locked Doors, Caged Virgins, The Child, Frankenstein's Castle of Freaks, andRattlers.
