U.S. commandos storm a Middle East terrorist compound in order to kidnap the leader of the violent sect. But the clandestine operation backfires -- perhaps because of a double-cross by one of the American operatives -- and CIA agent Vince Shannon (Glenn Plummer) is captured and abandoned by his team. The terrorists brainwash Shannon and return him to Florida where he begins slaying his former team members one by one, until he finally reaches Lt. Scott (Matt McCoy), his former best friend. Jay Andrews action thriller Rangers comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. Closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by director Andrews and actor Matt McCoy, information on the cast members, and the trailer.
