This disc of Eyes of a Stranger is unique for a few reasons. The first is that despite the R-rating on the cover, this disc actually offers the unedited version of the film and restores footage that was cut from release prints and VHS versions of the film. The anamorphic, letterboxed transfer is a nice one, doing justice to the film's hazy style of cinematography while also providing the proper amount of detail and depth. In terms of sound, the disc uses the film's original mono mix and it is a solid one. There are no extras, which is a shame as the stories behind slasher movies like this tend to be entertaining. The other unique element of the disc is that it offers no chapter menus: there are twenty four chapters stops but no way to get the random access a menu would allow. Thus, it's slightly annoying that this disc cuts corners in terms of features but horror fans will be pleased to finally get an uncut copy of Eyes of a Stranger, especially a professionally-mastered transfer like the one offered on this disc. ~ Donald Guarisco, All Movie Guide
