This movie really sneaks up on you. Jenna's a smart mouthed waitress to everyone except her dominating husband. It's really well acted; Nathan Fillion is a bit underused but still adorable. Jenna seems completely oblivious to the mistakes she continues to make with her husband, her friends, and just her life in general. Somewhere she took a wrong turn and now she's trapped making pies, working as a waitress, and dreaming of breaking free. I found the way she dealt with the news of her pregnancy really refreshing; she realized she's bringing a baby into a messed up life she's created and she's not too happy about it at first. Watch it and see how it all ends up!

Andy Griffith shines in his supporting role behind the always good and always beautiful Keri Russell. This is a great feel-good movie.

Really funny as well as sweet and romantic. Keri Russell plays a pie baker/waitress who works out her troubles by making pies - with names like "I Don't Want Earl's Baby" Pie. She feels trapped in her marriage and her big dream is to win a pie baking contest so she can take the prize money and leave him. But when Earl's baby gets in the way, her plans change. The cast of characters is wacky but lovable. Andy Griffith plays the old curmudgeon with a heart of gold who befriends Keri. I really loved this movie!

This is an excellent movie in so many ways; it has a lot of laughs, but also honesty and heart. I really loved the characters right away and Andy Griffith's part in the film is wonderful, too.

This movie is just adorable... and it made me start craving pie.
Keri Russell is pitch-perfect as the unhappily married, unhappily pregnant waitress who just wants to bake delicious pies and get far away from her obnoxious, abusive husband. Its very seldom that a movie can be "uplifting" and "heartwarming" and still show genuine people living their lives making believable mistakes and celebrating their little victories.
Never too sweet, never too cloying, just the right mix of warm and realistic with just a pinch of fairy-tale ending.
