DVD Synopsis

Frequent Stephen King collaborator Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption) teamed with the celebrated horror author once again for this tale of terror concerning a small town engulfed by a malevolent mist, based on a story originally published in King's 1985 horror anthology -Skeleton Crew. When a thick fog descends upon a rural community and claims the lives of anyone unfortunate enough to be caught outside, a small band of survivors seeks refuge in a local grocery store. Now trapped in a darkened cloud of pure horror, the frightened denizens of the town are forced to fend off an advancing horde of murderous monsters. the emotions from all the different characters in this movie is classic stephen king. the end is phenomenal. the best movie i have seen in many years. i cryed and jumped and shivered at the little critters. excellent

I will never part with this two disc editon, has the movie in the original color version, plus on disc two, a black and white version that gives "night of the living dead" feel to the movie. Gives you a whole new take on the movie. There was to be a intro to disc two on why Frank Darabont put this on the edition, but it's not there. You can find the intro on YouTube.

The ending of this movie is so shocking that even Stephen King wished he had wrote it. Pair this movie up with "Dreamcatcher" and you've got a great Thomas Jane/Stephen King double feature.
