Based on the novel by Scott Smith, who also penned the screenplay, The Ruins takes you on a disturbing ride as four American tourists and one German tourist find out just how scary the jungle can be. This movie is quite good, although the book is better. If you're squeamish, there may be a few scenes not for you. Not a lot of gore, but enough to satisfy fans that enjoy that sort of thing(myself included). If you're a fan of horror, then give this movie a shot. I found it very enjoyable.
