DVD Synopsis
A family of rural grifters employs lies and manipulation to ensnare unwitting victims in their diabolical web of greed in director Ralph E. Portillo's dark period thriller. The year is 1948. World War II has ended, and Caney Fork is your typical American small town. Like most other bedroom communities, however, a careful glimpse between the sunbeams sparking over the rolling hills reveals a darkness that dwells in the deepest corners of the human soul. William Bender (John Savage) looks like the perfect father, but don't let his friendly smile fool you - the moment you let your guard down he'll take you for all you're worth.
