Leelee Sobieski stars in the tense thriller
The Glass House, also starring
Diane Lane. This 2.35:1 anamorphic transfer looks very good with hardly any imperfections hindering the image. The colors, black levels, and fleshtones all look evenly rendered and very bright. Except for a small amount of edge enhancement, this is a great-looking picture from Columbia. The audio is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround in English, as well as Dolby 2.0 in English and French. This Dolby 5.1 soundtrack sounds very good, utilizing surround sounds in many instances (especially during scenes featuring rain or zooming cars). All aspects of the dialogue, effects, and
Christopher Young's terrifying score are free of any distortion or hiss. Also included on this disc are English and French subtitles. =The Glass House includes a medium-sized amount of extra features, starting with a commentary track by director
Daniel Sackheim and writer
Wesley Strick. Both men seem to remember a lot from the production, and often times questions are asked from one man to the other, then subsequently answered. Also included on this disc is a single deleted scene featuring optional director commentary, some brief interviews with the cast members, a few scant production notes, and theatrical trailers for the movies
I Know What You Did Last Summer and
The Glass House. All in all, this is a very well-produced edition of
The Glass House. ~ Patrick Naugle, All Movie Guide
