Yes, we've seen this movie before:
A group of hard-core Marines are dispatched to a remote location to track down
what happened to the workers that have fallen off the face of the planet. During
their stay, they are mind-f+++ked by the evil that awaits them.
I must say that Cuba Gooding Jr. really impressed me this time. His character is in
a dark place already (flashbacks of Iraq and post-traumatic stress) and he has to keep
his cool and lead his Marines literally into the mouth of hell. This is Cuba at his finest, layering his role with actual Marine tactics and body language. We have forgiven him for "Snowdogs".
The other standout in the cast is the dude who plays "Click." ( The techie/rookie) that
is the only one with common sense and delivers several funny lines when they're up to their necks. The gore is here, the nudity, too. There is even time for a brief lesbian make-out scene which was erotic, yet disturbing. The director manages to keep us in suspense even with a tired and overused "Aliens" storyline.

I had high hopes for this one, but it fell flat.
