Stimulating images of brightly colored objects float across the screen accompanied by entertaining sound effects and the masterful and melodic tones of Mozart. Aimed at children from one to 36 months, this video joins its counterparts Baby Einstein and Baby Bach in promoting the notion that exposure to the stimulus of classical music can help promote brain development in such areas as verbal ability, spatial intelligence, creativity, and memory. Musical selections include excerpts from several of Mozart's piano sonatas, concertos, and symphonies, specially arranged to appeal to infant and toddler ears. ~ Kathryn Tamms, All Movie Guide
Editorial Review of DVD
This title is a proud addition to the Baby Einstein line. Baby Mozart contains a standard full-frame transfer. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. There are neither subtitles nor closed captions on this release. Supplemental materials include a child-friendly concert of Mozart's work, and a language lab to help build vocabulary. A guide instructing parents on how they can use the DVD to maximize a child's potential is also included. This is a superb title for parents of toddlers and infants. ~ Perry Seibert, All Movie Guide
