DVD Synopsis
A pair of real-life multi-platinum rap artists star in this genial substance abuse comedy recalling the pro-marijuana work of Cheech and Chong and such films as Half Baked (1998). Silas (Method Man) and Jamal (Redman) are buddies who enjoy smoking voluminous amounts of the illegal plant. They end up in the possession of some magical weed that enhances their brainpower during college entrance exams, thus enabling them to enter that esteemed institution of learning, Harvard University. Once firmly ensconced in the halls of academia, however, the pals run out of their supernatural supply and are forced to get creative in the pursuit of an Ivy League degree. Included in their narcotic-addled plans: smoking the bones of dead president John Quincy Adams. Produced by Danny DeVito's Jersey Films, How High (2001) co-stars Obba Babatunde, Fred Willard, and Hector Elizondo. ~ Karl Williams, All Movie Guide
Jesse Dylan directs Method Man and Redman in the drug comedy How High, which comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1. Spanish and French subtitles are accessible, and both soundtracks are closed-captioned. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by the two lead actors, an interactive games, a lighthearted making-of featurette, deleted scenes, outtakes, and the theatrical trailer. No matter what one thinks of the movie, this is a great disc from Universal. ~ Perry Seibert, All Movie Guide

The ultimate stoner movie.

Who knew these two guys could make a great pair! They are hilarious. Obba Babatunde has a great role. A movie about two potheads going to Harvard sounds like a bust, however try it for yourself. If you don't fall over laughing would be an understatement.
