Also released under the title Young Sherlock Holmes and the Pyramid of Fear, this film follows the adventures of young John Watson (Alan Cox) when he is shipped off to boarding school and meets up with the brilliantly bizarre Sherlock Holmes (Nicolas Rowe). The two boys strike up a friendship and promptly become involved in the investigation of a number of mysterious murders. Barry Levinson directed this mystery-adventure concerning the youthful adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Watson, which has been given a simple presentation for its DVD release. Young Sherlock Holmes has been transferred to disc in the letterboxed format, in its original widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1, which has been enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16x9 monitors. The English-language audio has been remixed for Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround playback, while a dubbed French track appears in Dolby Digital Mono.
