DVD Synopsis
Ching Siu Tung directs the straight-to-video action thriller Belly of the Beast. Steven Seagal stars as ex-CIA agent Jake Hopper. He wants to retire peacefully, but is pulled back into the action when his daughter Jessica (Sarah Malakul Lane) is kidnapped by a terrorist group called Abu Karaf. This thriller, which finds action star Stephen Segal behind bars, gets a sturdy presentation on DVD. Belly of the Beast has been given two transfers to disc for this edition: one letterboxed in the widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1 (enhanced for anamorphic play on 16 x 9 monitors) and another pan-and-scanned to the full-screen ratio of 1.33:1. The audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Stereo. The dialogue is in English, with optional subtitles in English and French.
