Filmmaker Antonio Serrano, who made a splash with his first film Sexo, Pudor Y Lágrimas, returns to the screen with this thriller from Mexico. Lucia (Cecilia Roth) is a woman whose life is thrown into chaos when her husband suddenly disappears without a trace. As Lucia searches for a clue to his whereabouts, she discovers evidence that suggests her husband had a dangerous secret life he never shared with her, and she finds she isn't the only person with an interest in finding him. This intelligent and offbeat comedy drama from Mexico gets a fine presentation for its DVD release in the United States. Lucía, Lucía has been given two transfers for this release, which presents the film in letterboxed form at the widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1 (enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16 x 9 monitors), as well as a pan-and-scan version at the full-frame ratio of 1.33:1. The audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital 5.1. The dialogue is in Spanish with optional English subtitles.
