Synopsis
Majorettes and cheerleaders of a high school are being killed with their own batons by a mystery murderer in this low-budget horror film. Vicky (Terrie Godfrey) is the next targeted victim because she stands to inherit $500,000. Soon her grandmother Helga (Denise Hout) and the crooked local sheriff (Mark V. Jevicky) are the focus of the investigation and are later suspects in the murders. Helga is the nurse of a wealthy employer who stands to gain from his demise. ~ Dan Pavlides, All Movie Guide
From a script by John Russo, the scribe behind the classic Night of the Living Dead, the 1987 slasher flick The Majorettes tells the story of a high school that is terrorized by a mysterious hooded killer who is picking off female students one-by-one. Released to DVD for the first time, the film is presented in the widescreen format, preserving the original theatrical aspect ratio. Additionally, the disc features the English soundtrack rendered in Dolby Digital sound. Supplemental features include a photo gallery, the original European trailer, and a featurette called "One by One" that features interviews with Russo, director Bill Hinzman, makeup artist Jerry Gergely, and actor Russ Streiner. ~ Matthew Tobey, All Movie Guide
