Ingmar Bergman directed this powerful and intimate look at the relationship of a married couple, which has been given a well-appointed presentation for its North American DVD release. Originally shot for television, Scenes From a Marriage has been transferred to disc in its original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1, and the audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Mono. The dialogue is in Swedish, with optional English-language subtitles. For this edition, both the original five-hour television version of the film and the abridged theatrical cut have been included.
