DVD Synopsis
Three brothers who are inept criminals butcher one last attempt to pull off a big heist in this caper comedy. Bill Firpo (Nicolas Cage) is sick of thievery and has retired from crime to run an upscale restaurant in New York. But when his two brothers, Alvin (Dana Carvey) and Dave (Jon Lovitz), get out of prison, Bill is sucked back into their world of crime. The three end up on the run and hide out in the small town of Paradise, PA. The friendly townspeople include a bank president (Clifford Moffat) whose trust in people has left his bank an easy target. The brothers can't resist lifting $275,000 from the vault. Unfortunately, Alvin drives their getaway car in circles and they end up back in town and get in an accident. ~ Michael Betzold, All Movie Guide
Nicolas Cage, Jon Lovitz, and Dana Carvey star as a trio of two-bit crooks in Trapped in Paradise. After robbing a bank in a small town, the threesome find themselves snowed in and stuck with the syrupy-sweet townsfolk, who are unaware that they're the culprits. The film is presented on this DVD both in its original widescreen and in a reformatted full-screen transfer. The soundtrack has been mastered in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and there are also tracks dubbed in French and Spanish as well as English and Spanish subtitles. The disc bears no supplemental material. ~ Matthew Tobey, All Movie Guide

Not sure why this is rated as only 2 stars, but we found it to be a fun and funny movie. It's the 'feel good' kind where the bad guys are not all that bad, and everybody is happy in the end. While the story line is a tad predictable, it's played out in a hilariously funny way.
You'll enjoy seeing this movie.
