Marc M. (mojofilmguy) wrote on 10/18/2008...He gets a letter from his old love who blew him off because of his gunfighting ways. She asks him to come to her and he hopes she wants him back.
So he travels a fer distance and gets there only to find out she want our hero there only to save her husband (who is the temporary sherrif) from a confrontation with 3 desperados he is ill equipped to handle.
Throw in a daughter that he didn't know he had, a daughter's boyfriend who is hot to show off his own gun prowess, and a terrific villain and his henchman and you have the makings of a real unheralded GEM.
Lance Henriksen is excellent as the gunfighter and the rest of the cast shines.
I would give it 4.5 stars out of 5.
