DVD Synopsis

This beautifully staged and costumed fantasy is about young Jack (Tom Cruise) and his lady love Princess Lili (Mia Sara), and how Jack battles Darkness (Tim Curry) to save both the Princess and the world. When the peasant Jack takes Princess Lili to see the unicorns, the strongest animals around, he does not know that Darkness, with his cloven hooves, yellow eyes, and red skin plans on using Lili as bait to weaken the unicorns which he does -- and plunge the world into an ice age. Soon after that disaster, Darkness captures Lili and, Jack has to rally his elves and elvettes to rescue her and subdue Darkness at the same time. As one might guess, this fantasy is strong on visual elements but a little shaky on plot. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide

'Legend' is literally one hell of a movie! It's the classic "Good vs. Evil" fairy tale--one that involves elves, unicorns, fairies, ogres, and plenty of other supernatural beings (including Satan.)

Tom Cruise plays a character who as usual, doesn't do what he's told until it's too late and the world is literally coming to an end. He sets out on a quest to make things right and runs into one thing after another. The real star of the show is Tim Curry who plays the "Evil" being, one that looks like Satan (red skin, horns, yellow teeth, evil laugh, etc.)

The whole "Legend" world is very believable. Anybody who enjoys fantasy, role playing games, or love stories needs to watch this movie. Hopefully this movie will make it to Blu-Ray soon--it'd be awesome!!!

Legend was one of the first Fiction movies that I came to love, it not only portrays an awesome fantasy world, but also that classic good vs. evil battle that can only be won by true love and sacrifice, and yay, happy ending!
