DVD Synopsis

While the men of Barbershop and Barbershop 2 have plenty to mouth off about, they may have met their match in the female staff and clientele of a nearby beauty shop. Directed by Bille Woodruff, Beauty Shop revolves around these women led by Gina (Queen Latifah), who opened Beauty Shop to give all the females in the community, from a conservative Southern socialite (Andie MacDowell) to a poetry-reciting stylist, a place to talk about life, love, and the issues of the day, all while getting their hair done. Anything with Queen Latifah and Kevin Bacon has to be good. This was hysterical, and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole movie. Not one to miss.

This has got to be the cutest show I've seen lately. Lots of comedic scenes and a really good plot. The story line involves Queen at a beauty shop where sge is racially maligned by her "French" owner. She quits, and starts sher own beauty shop. Her shop is vandalized , but her friends fix it up back better than before. She is confronted by the inspector twice. Her former owner "Jorge", her former owner is behind it all. See it to see what happens and who is the unlikely friend who helps her out of it all!

Acting is so so but movie is fun. lots of laughs and the whole family can watch. I love Queen Latifah and if you do too you'll love this one. Kevin Bacon was a hoot!!!
